Terms of use
Last updated July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Daven app. By installing or using Daven, you agree to them. Please read them together with the Privacy policy.
Your license
Daven grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own religious and personal use, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Subscriptions and billing
Daven offers an optional Premium subscription (monthly or annual) and a one-time lifetime purchase. Paid plans are billed through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Any free-trial time you do not use is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Religious content
Daven presents traditional prayer texts, translations, calendar dates, and zmanim for personal use. Customs vary by community, and calculated times depend on the location and method you select. Daven is a study and practice aid, not a halachic authority — for practical questions of law and custom, follow your community calendar and your own rav.
Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its bundled texts except as the underlying source licenses permit (see Settings → Sources & licenses), and not to misuse the sync service or attempt to access other users' data.
No warranty; limitation of liability
Daven is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daven and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app evolves; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form.
