Daven is built to work without an account. By default, everything you do — the prayer text you read, calendar and zmanim calculations, your preferences, bookmarks, notes, and reading progress — is stored only on your device.

When you choose to sync

If you create an account and enable cloud sync, we process your email address and the preferences, bookmarks, notes, and reading progress you choose to sync. This is used only to provide the sync feature across your devices. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-app tracking or advertising.

Location and camera

Zmanim are calculated from your location, entirely on your device. If you allow it, Daven uses your device's location (when the app is in use) so your times follow you when you travel; you can instead type a city or pick a preset. Your coordinates are used only for these on-device calculations and never leave your phone. The optional tefillin mirror shows a live front-camera preview on your device only; Daven never records, stores, or uploads that image.

Payments and service providers

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Entitlement management may use RevenueCat, which receives the transaction and app-user identifiers needed to operate purchases. Optional cloud authentication and storage are provided by Supabase. Each processes data only to provide its part of the service.

Your control

You can disable sync or permanently delete your synced account and all cloud data at any time in Settings → Account. Local data is removed by deleting the app. Deleting a synced account does not cancel an Apple subscription — that is managed in your Apple ID settings. Server records are kept only as reasonably required for legal, payment, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.

Children

Daven is not designed to collect personal information from children, and no account is required to use the app.
